Ayurvedic

Ayurveda originated more than 400 years ago and is believed to be the oldest health system known to the world today.  Rather than treating symptoms it treats the whole person holistically combining nutrition, herbal remedies, yoga and massage to improve inner and outer wellbeing.

All treatments begin with a consultation to determine your body type, known in Sanskirt as ‘dosha’.  There are three types of dosha – vata, pitta and kapha each one has its own caring and nurturing regime, by recognising your dominant dosha a treatment programme can be created to suit your specific needs.

Marma Abhyanga Snanam – Energy flow oil massage

The signature treatment in Ayurveda, an ancient therapy combining pressure to specific marma vital points all over the body and yogic stretches to all joints. Warm herb-infused oils are slowly massaged into the skin, detoxifying, strengthening and revitalising the entire body, followed by a traditional herbal bath powder to cleanse the body.
